Universal City Studios filed a lawsuit alleging Donkey Kong violated its trademark of King Kong, ultimately failing. Miyamoto's characters were mass marketed in multitudes of products, including breakfast cereal, toys, and television cartoons. Other companies cloned the game and avoided royalties altogether. It was ported to the Game & Watch, selling 8 million units, while Nintendo licensed the game to Coleco, a developer of arcade conversions for home consoles, selling 6 million cartridges the game's various ports sold more than 15 million units worldwide. Usually they toss your bomb on the opposite side of the stage, away from you. Soon, just like before, a watermelon bomb will appear and be your saving grace. Roll past them and dodge the red spike bombs. Right off the bat, they will from a swinging chain in the middle of the stage. Only one left! Even odds! Right? Not a chance! Summoned from the great beyond, two ghost baboons show up! Joy! Dodge their bombs and toss the watermelon bombs at them to begin the third phase. Just like before, our enemies will go back to their original plan of attack. Take advantage of this and hit them one more time. Dodge their landing and they will be stunned. Then, when one of them screams, that means they will jump high and toward you. Soon the baboons will try and take you one the ground. Make sure they aren’t hiding behind the pole! Grab one and quickly toss it at a baboon. Jump over all the dangerous bombs until you see one of the foes pull out safe watermelon bombs.
They have red spiky bombs they will toss at you. At the beginning of this phase the baboons will run to the sides and slide down the poles.
